NAILED it!
Awesome playing, man!!
Thank you!
Nice work 🔥🔥🔥
Great backing track Greg. 🎸🎸like 23.
Awesome, you nailed it, and some! How you got that tone from a strat I don’t know, as I recall Mr G spent a small fortune on his equipment which was all custom stuff. .
Tab ?
The song sounds deceptively easy. It’s not at all. And my short small fingers can’t reach the high string on “since”.
It is more challenging than it looks! Keep at it and you’ll reach that high string I’m sure! Thanks for commenting 😊
i just put some vocals to this amazing job on the on the guitar brotha
Very nice 👏
One of the best solos EVER.
Good job
Nice work
absolutely underrated song
this solo is so f....GOOD !!!
Just found your channel. I've been working on targeting root notes but trying to learn licks that get me to those root notes seems to be more of a problem for me then knowing where they are in the progression...
I want to start playing electric guitar is there anything specific I should look for
That’s great that you’re going to start playing! It very much depends on your budget. My first advice would always be to visit a local guitar store if you can. That way you can have a look at some instruments in person. Don’t forget to budget for a decent amp and cable. As a rough guide, anything by Squier, Epiphone, Yamaha is usually great for a beginner but there are too many good options to list here. Hope that helps, happy shopping! 🎸

Very Nice!
Oh, that was a joy to listen too. Beautiful
Ah thanks a lot mate! Glad you enjoyed it! 👍
Backing track in the saddest of all keys. Works with "Who's been talkin'" also by Robert Cray. Nice job👍👏
Incubus - drive
What kind of guitar is that
Hi, it's a Taylor 314ce RW-Ltd
The riff of all riffs!
Dude you absolutely rocked that line!
Chills. That was beautiful
This is the best lesson ive seen of basic soloing. Subscribed sir.
Thanks so much! Really glad you enjoyed it. 🙏
Jai Guru Deva Om🙏
Pawt two
Cool song! What is the name of the backing track used for this?❤
Hi, thanks for your comment! The backing was actually just a loop in the key of A minor that I created for the video, but you can apply these concepts to any blues based backing track. Cheers
,👍
Well played
Thank you 😊
❤😍
Cool man
Beautiful🎉
Thanks! The best part of this video for me is when you combined the Pentatonic box position with the single string line scale superimposed. That is what helped me the most. Can you do more of that idea??? No one on RUclips thinks of that idea! bravo
0:30 awesome harmonic
superb execution! guitar a perfect fit in your capable hands! kudo's!!! I love Cedar tops! I have a Crafter GAE-15N Dao/Cedar LR Baggs Element I wearing it out! lol shopping for a second acoustic :D
How do you actually get your guitar sound recorded? Might be a bit of an ignorant question but im just trying to learn how people record their sound especially from tube amps. Sounds absolutely amazing by the way. By far the best time cover I’ve heard!
Hi, thank you for your comment and kind words. It's not an ignorant question at all... You can find a list of all the gear I used in the description but o capture the recording I used a Shure SM57 mic placed in front of my Laney Lionheart L20T-112. The mic runs through a Focusrite Clarett 2Pre interface and into Logic on my Mac. I added a small amount of compression and phaser effect in Logic to get it slightly closer to the original tone but that's about it. The sound you hear is pretty much captured as it comes from the amp. Hope that helps and thanks again for your comment!
It happened that you brought good lesson that I wish others to learn, I use the E-minor diagonal pattern to play minor scales in C,D,E,F & major scale F,G,A,B using the relative minor theory. However It is almost extended to the edge of fretboed. Could you please do another diagonal to compliment the tranketed part? My quest put me to this video
Lovely sounding guitar and you played it beautifully. What tuning to get this song correct? Thanks
Hi, thanks for your kind comments! The tuning is (from low to high) D G C G C D. Cheers
Hi Greg, I love this video and the concept of learning/playing a scale on a single string as I'm still learning myself. Please could you post the tab for the demo at the start of the video? Thanks Al
Hi, thanks for your comment! I’m really glad you enjoyed the lesson. I don’t currently have tabs for the intro, but I’ll try and get this transcribed and available asap! In the meantime, you could try slowing down the video and working it out a bit at a time, always great for your transcribing skills and ear training! Cheers
What kinda guitar is that
Hi, it’s a Taylor 314ce.
@@GregShutenice
what a great backing track, It makes me very selective with my licks and makes me take more care instead of being aggressive on other backing tracks!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for commenting :)
Great stuff.I like G .i play a electro acoustic , so reaching the G on 15th fret is not too bad.
Wish I had found this sooner, thank you! Liked and subscribed!
Sounds great! Would you have a tab for this? Or do you have any nice tab for G minor blues scale?
god this has to be one of the sickest intros, solid cover meng
Very good lesson ! Wish I had this lesson years ago! Subbed
Thank you! Really glad you found it useful!
Please do All The Pretty Girls by KALEO it’s so good!!
I noticed right before you started playing chords you hit the F sharp; make sure you hit a lower A note on the same fret at the same time. 😉
Thanks for your comment, not sure I follow? Do you mean an open A in the bass of the F# minor chord?
